Where Connection Grows

You may be feeling disconnected from your partner, caught in recurring conflict, struggling with intimacy, or questioning who you are in this season of life. Whether you're navigating relationship challenges, a major transition, or the emotional and physical shifts that often accompany hormonal and midlife transitions, therapy can help you find greater clarity, connection, and confidence.

I work with individuals and couples seeking healthier relationships—with themselves, their partners, and the people who matter most. I have a particular passion for supporting midlife women navigating identity shifts, changing relationships, the physical, emotional, and relational transitions of midlife, and exploring who they are becoming and what comes next. Many of the women I work with are navigating the profound shifts that can accompany midlife—changes in identity, relationships, purpose, sexuality, health, and the way they experience themselves in the world.

My approach is systemic, relational, and trauma-informed. I believe our struggles are shaped not only by our individual experiences, but also by our family systems, relationships, culture, and life circumstances. Together, we'll explore the patterns that may be keeping you stuck and develop new ways of relating that support greater authenticity, resilience, and connection.

With couples, I draw from the Developmental Model of Couples Therapy, which emphasizes differentiation—the ability to maintain a strong sense of self while remaining emotionally connected to others. This work helps partners move beyond reactive cycles, communicate more effectively, deepen intimacy, and create relationships that feel both secure and alive. I also support couples in exploring emotional and sexual connection as important aspects of relational health.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate supervised by Bridget Jowid, LMFT-S, and Dr. Nicole Van Ness, LMFT-S. I hold a master's degree in counseling from Southern Methodist University and a bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies from The Ohio State University.

Before entering the counseling profession, I spent more than twenty years in corporate and nonprofit leadership, including a significant chapter of my career at AT&T. Having navigated my own professional and personal transitions, I bring an understanding of the complex realities many adults face as they balance work, relationships, family responsibilities, and evolving identities.

My professional training includes graduation from The Developmental Model of Couples Therapy Training under Ellyn Bader, Ph.D., at The Couples Institute. I am currently participating in the Advanced Training Program and have also completed The Embody Lab's IFS-Informed Somatic Trauma Therapy training. I am a certified Safe Conversations® Leader, a Prepare & Enrich® facilitator, a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200), and have pursued additional training in Mindful Self-Compassion.

My style is warm, collaborative, and direct. I strive to create a space where clients feel both supported and challenged as they move toward healthier relationships, greater self-understanding, and a life that feels more aligned with who they are and who they are becoming.

I would be honored to walk alongside you in that process.

The Second Bloom Group for Women

Rediscovering vitality, connection, and the wisdom of this season.

We honor that midlife looks different for everyone. That’s why The Second Bloom is an open group for women. Whether you attend once, return occasionally, or join regularly, it’s all about what supports your season of life. There’s no pressure to share more than you’re ready for, and no expectation to keep coming unless it feels nourishing. The Second Bloom serves as a supportive space for women navigating the physical, emotional, and relational shifts of midlife, much like couples therapy can provide a safe environment for partners facing change. We honor both the complexity and beauty of change, making room for desire, grief, laughter, and growth.

How We Can Work Together

Individual Therapy

Individual Therapy

Individual Therapy

A woman happily talking during a therapy session.

Individual therapy is a space to slow down and listen more closely to your inner world. Together, we explore the patterns, emotions, and experiences that shape how you relate to yourself and others. Our work centers on building self-awareness, strengthening emotional steadiness, and helping you clarify what you want and need. As you develop a stronger sense of self, it becomes easier to navigate stress, relationships, and life transitions with intention, resilience, and a deeper feeling of being at home in yourself.

Couples Therapy

Couples therapy offers a supportive space to understand the patterns that shape your relationship and to create new ways of connecting. Together, we explore how each partner’s history, needs, and emotional rhythms influence the dynamic between you. Our work focuses on strengthening communication, deepening emotional and sexual intimacy, and helping you stay connected while honoring your individuality. I am an affirming ally and warmly welcome LGBTQ+ couples. This process supports greater clarity, resilience, and a more intentional partnership built on mutual respect and understanding.

Sex Therapy

Individual Therapy

Couples Intensives

Sex therapy offers a warm, judgment-free space to explore desire, arousal, and intimacy with curiosity and compassion. Together, we unpack the physical, emotional, and relational factors that shape your intimate life, with particular sensitivity to the changes many women experience in midlife. Our work centers on reconnecting with your body, clarifying what feels authentic now, and supporting a renewed sense of pleasure, confidence, and agency.

Couples Intensives

A couples therapy intensive is a focused, extended session designed to help partners work through key challenges in a concentrated and intentional format. This dedicated time allows couples to deepen understanding, interrupt stuck patterns, and make meaningful progress that can be harder to reach in weekly sessions. Intensives can be especially supportive during periods of transition or strain, offering space to reset, reconnect, and build a stronger foundation for the relationship.

A Safe Conversations® workshop teaches a simple, structured dialogue process that helps partners replace conflict with connection. Through guided practice, participants learn to slow down conversations, listen with empathy, and express themselves in ways that build safety, understanding, and deeper connection.

Pre-Marital Counseling

Safe Conversations® Workshops

Pre-marital counseling provides couples a space to strengthen communication, clarify expectations, and build a strong foundation for marriage. I use the Prepare & Enrich® assessment, a research-based tool that highlights relationship strengths and growth areas, and we translate those insights into practical skills that support a connected, resilient partnership.
